A joint in Canada costs somewhere between about $1 and $15. That's a huge spread for what sounds like one thing, and it comes down to three variables: how much flower is in it, what grade that flower is, and whether it's been infused with concentrate.

Here's how the arithmetic actually works.

First: How Much Flower Is in a Joint?

There's no standard, but there is a normal range.

That isn't a mystery or a gimmick — a cheap pre-roll is a smaller joint rolled from the smaller flower and trim that comes off any harvest. It is real flower, just not the material that gets photographed for the 28g wall.

Buy pre-rolls if you don't want to roll, you want consistency, or you're buying one or two.
