Thirteen New Flower Cuts — Priced by the Gram, $17.25 to $241.50

Thirteen new cuts went up on the flower wall through August, and unlike the ounce wall these are priced by weight — 3.5g, 7g, 14g and 28g — so you can try a strain before committing to a jar of it.

The spread is wide: an eighth runs from $17.25 to $40.25 depending on the cut, and a full ounce from $50 to $241.50. Here's all of it.

Sour Diesel at $69 an ounce is the standout here — a genuine named sativa cut for barely more than double the value-wall price. Sherbert Cake is sold out at 28g but still available in the smaller sizes.

This band is the best ratio of enjoyment to money on the wall. Juicy Fruit at $92 an ounce and Durban Cookies at $115 are the two we'd hand someone who asked for "good but not silly." Donkey Butter is down to the larger sizes only.

Reading the Ladder

Two things worth noticing in those tables.

The per-gram discount is steepest at the value end. Sour Diesel goes from $4.93/g at an eighth to $2.46/g at an ounce — a 50% drop. Northern Black Gas goes from $9.86/g to $8.21/g, barely 17%. Premium cuts don't get much cheaper in bulk, because the grower's cost doesn't fall either.

Price tracks cure and nose, not potency. A $241.50 ounce is not four times stronger than a $60 one. It's denser, better cured, and it smells like something specific. Whether that's worth four times the money depends entirely on whether you notice — and there's no shame in not noticing.
