Three native cigarette lines have landed at the counter in the last few weeks, and none of them were on the brands comparison when it was written. Here's what each one is.

Rolled Gold — Now Available by the Carton

Rolled Gold isn't new to this shop, but the carton is. Until now the only way to buy it here was as one of the flip-top single packs at $3.45 — a good way to try it, an expensive way to smoke it week after week.

Discount Full Flavour and Discount Lights are a no-frills value line. There's no story attached and the brand isn't pretending otherwise: it's a plain, inexpensive everyday carton in the two strengths most people actually buy.

Chanel — Carton, Plus a Blueberry Mint Pack

Chanel arrived as a carton a couple of weeks ago, and a Chanel Blueberry Mint Pack followed just after.

That second one is the more interesting arrival. A flavoured pack is a rarer thing on a Canadian shelf than people realise — flavoured tobacco was cleared out of regulated retail between 2015 and 2017, and the only reason a blueberry mint pack exists here at all is that the ban doesn't reach territory.
